(ASCEND) Ascend Max 4048 and ftik.m40 version 6.1.7

I've got what appears to be a Y2K problem here. We use radius
authentication and pass an attribute and setting for:

ATTRIBUTE       Ascend-Maximum-Time             194     integer


This has been working fine until recently. Logging into the max unit and
toggling radif shows me that the correct info is still being passed to
the max unit, but the unit is ignoring it - I've had users logged on for
days, whereas there should be a 5 hour drop in effect. Suspecting that
this was a date related problem, I set the clock on the unit back to
last year and my problem has gone away. How do I rectify this without
setting the date back on my units? Is there a more recent code version
that fixes this?
