Its sort of a legacy thing... and send/expect is used for lots of other
things on Linux. However, it is VERY simple to set up pap AND dhcp as well
with the latest redhat or slackware. Id say to a linux customer that if
they are smart enuff to install linux, they are smart enuff to turn on
pap. ;-)   Was that the issue?
