(ASCEND) DSL Pipes

Hi, hope someone can help out. I notice the new Lucent (ascend) P50's that 
come out are also DSL Pipes?  Is this two dif beasts, or one beast that can 
now do DSL as well as std ISDN/Frame, etc like always?  Can it be used only 
with a DSL Circuit? or will it work just like a reg P50-1UBRI as a ISDN 
Connection to any other ISDN capable receiving ISP Side for Internet 
use.  New unit models are identical to the old ones (P50-1UBRI-ASA), but 
now also labeled as DSL Pipe. I'm kinda confused - any help with anyone 
using the DSL Pipes would be appreciated.
