Distribution Experts Needed for InstallFest

You should have heard by now that Real Time Enterprises and TCLUG are
sponsoring a Linux Solutions Conference. One part of the Conference is an
InstallFest. We are looking for TCLUGers to act as distribution experts
for some of the most popular Linux distributions. In the past, InstallFests
have been pretty informal and unstructured. We'd like to try a more
structured InstallFest where Linux newbies can work with an expert on the
distribution of their choice to help get Linux installed or to answer
questions.

Here's the info:

When: Thursday, March 30th
Where: Radisson South in Bloomington (494/100)
Other info: www.real-time.com/Linux_Show/linux_show.html

The InstallFest will be from 11:30AM - 5:00PM.

Volunteers do not need to be there the entire time. Hopefully we can get
enough volunteers for good coverage throughout the day. We probably don't
need volunteers for every Linux distribution - just the most common ones that
newbies would probably be interested in (RedHat, Corel, Caldera, Suse) but
other distribution experts are welcome. We're planning on having badges for
volunteers listing name and distribution expertise to make it easy for
newbies.

If you would like to volunteer, please send email to registration@real-time.com
stating the distribution(s) you'd like to help with and your availability that
day.

We'd also welcome any other suggestions for improving the InstallFest to make
it easier for newbies.
