RE: [TCLUG:1781] DNS server timing out



There was a named.pid file in the run directory.  I removed it and ran
named.restart again.  I went into the log/messages file and am still
seeing the following message:

Oct 16 10:01:05 spot named[3199]: There may be a name server already
running
Oct 16 10:01:05 spot named[3199]: exiting

I went back into the run directory and there is a named.pid file
created again.  I did a ps aux |grep named and nothing is still
showing up.
