(ASCEND) Max1800 modems speed

Hi ,

I was wondering if any one else had seen or heard of this problem with
the max 1800,

I have 5.OAp27 on the box and the problem is that when some one dials in
with a 33600 modem the seem to connect at roughly that speed according
to the max if you do a sh users, but if a users dials in with a 56k flex
modem the highest speed that he connects at is 28800, why is this.

Seems wierd,

Any suggestions
