(ASCEND) USR Modem Problems??



We currently have a Max 4048 with the K56Flex modem cards.   I am in the
process of testing out the functionality with the box with a dozen or so
test users who are dialing in with a variety of modems.  Most of the are
USR modems.  I am just about ready to put this box in production, except
for one outstanding issue.  I couple of my test users have experienced a
problem when they dial-in, that after a certain amount of time, they lose
network functionality.  They are still connected to the box, but they can
no longer get to any servers or serf the net (like the protocols stop
working).  There was a thread that I was following about something similiar
entitled "Intermittent Loss Routes?", and someone had bought up that it
could possibly be the USR modem bug.  All of my users that are experiencing
this problem are using USR modems (X2, Sportsters, XJacks).  Does anyone
know exactly what the USR bug is and if there are any patches out?  USR
Tech support has been of little help with this problem.
