This is an old problem that mainly occurs with USR modems, although
we've also seen it with other modem and ISDN callers.
Basically turning on LQM will help and/or fix it.

Set "Ethernet->Answer->PPP options->LQM=Yes"

IMHO LQM Min=500 and LQM Max=1500 seem to be quite useful values.

BTW, we turned LQM off with 6.1.0 because several customers (with one 
specific German brand modem) were kicked after approx. 90 seconds. 
Turning off LQM fixed this, however quite a few users (also ISDN) are 
now experiencing the same thing you describe.
