(ASCEND) 6.0.x line noise ?

Hi,

during development of a LZS compression module for Linux I4L I dis-
covered that ISDN connects to our Mx4k/E1 are really bad since we
upgraded to 6.0.x. When running without compression, I'm getting a
TCP checksum error every some seconds (8 to 20 seconds). With com-
pressions things of course get worse because a lost frame must be
noticed, state reset instructions be communicated and state reset
performed. There are also frames that are trashed and would not pass
an FCS check. This problem disappears as soon as I downgrade to 5.0Ap13
(I really love that version). The occasional trashed/lost frame then
again appears once in a hour or such.

My question: Does anyone see ISDN line quality degradation on the same
scale that I see with 6.0.x and not with 5.x ? BTW, when we upgrade to
6.0.x we also change the V.34 modem card to a V.90 one. I'll probably
try to run 6.0.x with the V.34 card just to rule the K-Card out. I'm
just polling to get closer to this problem, I'm no longer sure whether
that is a software problem or one of our spyders is somehow broken.

TIA,
Andre.
