RE: (ASCEND) T1 issue.
New to this mailgroup so if this question's been asked before,
please point me in the right direction.
Have an Ascend 4002 ver 6.1.0 that twice this past week has
stopped functioning. I can only go by the troubleshooting of
co-workers so bear with me.
First trouble: Help desk gets call no answer on dial in. Telnets
to the box and showing both PRIs up but no calls incoming. Dial
number and getting nothing not even busy signal. Call into local telco
- they find nothing wrong. Warm boot on box and service is restored.
Second trouble: Over weekend, help desk gets call users connecting
but not getting 'login:' prompt. In Message Log Window 00-200, seeing
message INVALID MDM CON S+. He did a warm boot on box to
restore service. He also saw both PRIs up with no other obvious
problems.
The first problem doesn't appear to have any relation to problem number two.
I'm going through Ascend CD and hard copy docmentation set and can't readily
find reference to INVALID MDM CON S. This has been an operational box
that's not given any troubles before. Any ideas?
