When I was first installing our TNT we saw something just like that
on a PRI. The line was fine as long as nothing was happening, but try
to place a call into it and the line went to hell, with errors like
crazy. Naturally, the telco swore up and down that it was fine, and
after awhile we started to suspect a problem with the (brand-new)
TNT. It took Ascend sending an engineer to look at it to
find--immediately--that there was AMI somewhere on what was supposed
to be an ESF B8ZS line. We had already asked the telco to check for
that, and they had said they had. They were lying, inept or both. The
usual.
As I know you know what you're doing, I think it's the telco, and I
think that you're going to have to do their job for them. As usual.
