I'd recommend 6.1.24.  It's been the most stable for us as well as a couple
other folks I know (Hi lmb).  I wouldn't touch 7.x with a 50' TNT.  You will
of course have outdated modem code 'cause Ascend hasn't released a 6.1.x
with updated modem code.
