Re: (ASCEND) Ascend Frame/DSL

What kind of dslpipe is it? (ADSL, SDSL, etc)

What code rev is on the DSL pipe?

What code is on the TNT?

What type of card is the circuit hooked to in the TNT?

Code rev on the pipeline is the real important thing here. I have seen these
things do really weird things because of code problems. Make sure you are
running AT LEAST 6.1.3. I would recommend running 6.1.18 for the best
stability. 7.0.4/7.0.22 is stable, as long as the ethernet stays up. (those
two revs are supposedly the same, for some reason ascend wanted to make the
pipe code rev the same as the latest DSLTNT code rev. At least that's what I
was told)

I also assume you are configuring the pipe to be a router, not a bridge. If
this is the case, what field are you putting your IP address in? Are you
assigning it to the ethernet port (most likely and most correct) or are you
assigning it in the frame relay profile? If you are configuring the box as a
bridge, then I hope it doesn't ever respond to pings.
