Re: (ASCEND) Broken TNT?



TNTs require the DRAM card to be installed starting with 7.2.

WARNING: the DRAM card is NOT hot-swapable. If you inserted the
card while powered on, you probably fried the card. Your TNT
will be brain dead until a DRAM card is installed.

The flash card is not required for the TNT to boot, and as opposed to
the DRAM card, it is hot-swappable. Without the flash card, the slot
cards will not boot (there is no code for them) but the controller
card should come up.

Try removing all the slot cards and see what happens, just in case
you have an overloaded power supply. With that configuration (14 modem
cards), you may need the second power supply. You may want to double
check with your sales rep.
