I think this is an nls module. You probably don't have the module compiled. It's in the "filesystems" section of the kernel config under "Native Language Support" I'm not sure which it is. I just compiled all of them as modules and I ceased to get errors. I don't believe it's a major problem but that's how I'd fix it if you don't want to see the error message.

Not sure how to help you here. I assume you've compiled scsi support and scsi disk support either into the kernel or as modules. Other than that the only time I've gotten this error is if I didn't have the physical device.
