(ASCEND) ascend 4048 compatible question.

HI!
My name is Suzie Andreas from RIO Comm. a small ISP in Oregon...
I found your addres in the newsgroups.

We are getting ready to cut all our modems lines over from analog
Microcom ISPortes 33.6 to the Ascend 4048 digital 56K using the latest
software rev.. I believe its 6.

When we changed from our External USR Courier v.everything to the
Microcoms it was a total nightmare... lots of users couldn't connect or
stay connected.

I am searching the newsgroups for any information or experiences that
might give us an idea of how the switch might be.. also, customers are
asking what modem brand is most compatible.  The Ascends are k56Flex
now.. but we are planning to upgrade to the v.90
soon after they are up.

Any feedback or info you can supply would be greatly appreciated.
