I am guessing your pool of IP addresses for the modem users is taken from
the same subnet that the MAX ethernet port is on.  If this is the case make
sure that you turn Proxy_Mode = Active or Always.
(Ethernet/Mod_Config/Ether_Options).  This allows the MAX to answer the ARP
requests on the LAN for the dial-up users.
